We all struggle with different challenges. Some people struggle with their weight, while others struggle with managing diseases. Speech difficulties are no different. Speech disabilities impact your daily interactions with others. Some people choose to hide from their problems while others face them head on. Children or adults who request speech services have my greatest respect! They are brave, courageous and inspiring people. I look forward to working with brave people every day. Pam

I thought I'd take a minute and talk about the book Holey Cow. It was written and illustrated by me. It is designed to teach parents how to help their child produce the K sound. The book highlights the different phases of therapy as you progress through the book. It starts by teaching the correct placement of the sound. It then progresses to syllables, words and then sentences. My therapy dog Angel is inserted into the book to teach these tricks to your child. I’m proud of this accomplishment and look forward to sharing it with you.
I am a very busy bee. One of my favorite books is from Eric Carle, The Hungry Caterpillar. With it being springtime, I can't wait to see the butterflies and humming birds appear in my front yard. Take the time to enjoy nature with your children. Talk about how things grow and about the things you see and hear in nature. Take the time to read, Eric Carle's books like the Hungry Caterpillar, and the Firefly book. I love these insect books for preschool and elementary students.
I know. Where have I been? The latest technology of blogging is nearly outdated before I try it. No excuses. I've been focusing on providing therapy to children in a variety of different settings. I love my job and serving the children in my life. It is not just a job it is a personal mission of mine to help fortify the lives of those I work. My mom once told me that I needed to have a job in life that I would be happy doing even when I was tired and sick. Well this is the one for me. I have found my mission in life.
5-21-2016 Excited to announce that my dog is officially a therapy dog. She is working with students to increase their attention and cooperation but most importantly to love your child. She loves to work with children and is very excited to great them when they arrive. When therapy is over and she does her job correctly she gets to do tricks with your child. The children and of course Angel (my dog) love the interaction. She has encouraged even young children to communicate through verbal and non verbal interactions. Come and visit us some time. |
